Coach Damon grew up right here in Sulphur, LA and graduated from McNeese with his BSN while stationed at Fort Polk with the Army. During his time stationed in San Antonio, TX, he became involved with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and began his training under Professor Jonatas “Rattinho” Eliquim, a 3rd degree black belt of Alliance team, now out of Houston. Coach Damon has been teaching his passion for 7 years and earned his black belt under Professor Jonatas in December 2020.

Coach Jill received her black belt under Professor Washington Luis of Academia Washington Luis Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in March 2023. She officially began her Jiu Jitsu journey in 2015 after watching her children train for several years. She immediately noticed an improvement in fitness, but more importantly, an increase in confidence, which has made her even more passionate about sharing her love for Jiu Jitsu, especially with other women.
We are a Jiu Jitsu academy located in Sulphur, LA. We focus on a systematic approach for developing young athletes by breaking down fundamental and advanced key concepts while keeping training safe, fun, and engaging. We are a welcoming environment for beginners, current practitioners, competitors, and hobbyists alike. We invite you to come as you are and experience it for yourself. We believe that you have to start somewhere to get where you want to be and we want to help you get there!
